NOISE MEASUREMENT

Multiple Events

Purpose

This describes the effect of adding identical noise events to one another, as would occur in formation flying.

When the element appears a static image of a sound source appears in the frame. Clicking on the speaker icon that is in the lower tool bar activates an animation. The number of identical noise events can be changed using the slider on the right side of the screen. Clicking on the arrows above and below the bar increments the number of events by one unit. The elevation of the aircraft can be changed using the up/down arrows that appear within the elevation display. Sound sources can be chosen using the title bar below the image, which is a pull down menu (the selection may be limited to as few as one aircraft).
