NOISE MITIGATION

Flight Tracks

Purpose

Shows the interchange of training flights.

How to use Flight Tracks

The element starts with a top down view. The controls at the lower right permit selection of Operations and Viewer Locations. The Dynamic Tracks option (Operations) displays the pattern of flights. Selecting from Views 1-4 (Viewer Locations) moves among a set of preselected viewer locations. The option "Manual Control" permits you to select any position on the map as the viewer location. The View Control arrows function differently depending on whether the view is from the Top or the Side. The arrow keys move the viewer location vertically or horizontally when the Top view is active.

The viewer location is assumed to be at the center of the map image. When the Side option is selected the viewpoint moves into a perspective view. The view will always be from the selected location looking in the direction of the NAS. In the Side option, the arrow keys move the viewer left and right or up and down. The magnifying glass is used to zoom in or out.

This element is normally separated from the other program features and run as a separate Custom Program because it uses substantial system resources.
